About the Church
The Light of the World Ministries, widely recognized as City on a Hill Ministries, began its journey on March 23, 2002, in Ibafo, Ogun State, Nigeria. This Apostolic ministry was founded by Apostle Richard Olutayo Borokini, a man of deep faith and vision, alongside his steadfast partner in ministry, Pastor Dorcas Olufolakemi Borokini. What started as a small gathering in the humble setting of a sitting room has grown into a dynamic ministry with a significant impact.
Over the years, the ministry has expanded its reach and now boasts four thriving branches across the southwestern region of Nigeria. Each branch operates on its own property, a testament to God’s provision and the dedication of the congregation. These branches are under the leadership of residential pastors, who provide spiritual care, guidance, and effective administration to the members.
In line with its global vision, City on a Hill Ministries has recently extended its mission beyond Nigeria. The ministry was officially incorporated in Canada and established its first international branch in the vibrant city of London, Ontario. This move marks a significant step toward fulfilling the ministry’s divine mandate to spread the gospel to nations around the world.
Throughout its journey, the ministry has been marked by countless testimonies of God’s faithfulness, from changed lives to miraculous breakthroughs. As City on a Hill Ministries continues to grow and serve, it remains steadfast in its commitment to sharing God’s love and bringing hope to communities near and far.
